I wrote the following poem less than three years back. During the time I was often depressed, and at times melodramatic. The poem was written out of boredom on a rainy summer day.
High on Stupidity
God chose for me
Something unknown.
When will I see
The beauty to be shown.
He tests me with hope,
But answers me with reality.
His love is like a rope,
But it is also a tragedy.
If you hold on to it
Never will you fail.
It’s a candle that when lit
Shall cause your heart to sail.
Soon comes a time of oddly gain.
The day when the world leaves sanity
And becomes less mundane
Night will be morning
And morning night.
Love will be as boring
As living life.
